We are looking for an experienced Sales professional to act as Area Sales Manager for multiple properties within our company.

POSITION PURPOSE

The Sales Manager is responsible for the development of new business within the transient, group and catering/events segments. Strategies will include market mix, pricing, status, direct sales, marketing, and acquisition status and results. Maximize profitability for the hotel and outstanding quality service for the guests and clients. Accountable to market performance and potential performance as well as budget, forecast, and target goals. The ideal candidate would be organized, detail-oriented, enjoys working in a team environment and leading and developing associates.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Accountable for the achievement of all established goals and/or budgets as they relate to the transient, package and group segments as well as assisting sales and catering department on achieving overall budgeted revenue goals
  • Regular solicitations of assigned accounts and of potential new business as it relates to the transient/package and catering segment
  • Recommendation of transient and package sales activities on a quarterly basis
  • Coordination of all transient and package sales efforts for the property based on quarterly action plans Coordinate in-house guest relations activities as it relates to the individual traveler as well as coordinate special events and FAM's relevant to transient and package segments for the property
  • The development and implementation of all strategies and action toward leisure, transient market influencers (i.e. travel agencies, consortiums, tourist boards, travel writers, etc.)
  • The development and implementation of strategies toward the international transient market (non-group)
  • Development of all marketing efforts in conjunction with all systems to correctly position the property to the transient and package segments
  • Participate with corporate and regional leadership in the preparation of the annual marketing plan for the property
  • Involvement in public relations and advertising activities relating to the property
  • Attend other departmental meetings as required
  • Function as Manager on Duty when required
